Getting Your File Back

Under the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct, your attorney is required to promptly provide your file upon request, even if there is a fee dispute. If your former attorney is withholding your file, I can help you recover it. You own your file. Do not let an attorney hold it hostage.

The Malpractice Claim

If your former attorney’s conduct damaged your case — missed deadlines, botched filings, unauthorized settlements, or abandonment — you may have a legal malpractice claim in addition to needing new representation.
