Need a New Lawyer? I Step In.

Need a New Lawyer? I Can Step In and Rescue Your Case.

Sometimes the problem isn’t that your case is over — it’s that your attorney made it much harder to win, and you need someone to come in, assess the damage, and fight back. I do exactly that.

Whether your attorney withdrew without warning, stopped communicating, was suspended by the State Bar, or you simply lost confidence and need to make a change, I can evaluate your situation quickly and help you decide what to do next.

When You Might Need a New Lawyer

  • Your attorney stopped responding to calls and emails
  • Your attorney withdrew from representation mid-case
  • You discovered your attorney missed an important deadline
  • Your attorney settled your case without telling you
  • Your attorney was suspended or disbarred by the State Bar of Georgia
  • You have a hearing, trial, or filing deadline approaching and no representation
  • You lost confidence in your attorney’s competence or ethics

What I Do First

When you contact me about replacing your attorney, I move quickly. I will:

  1. Review your file — I will assess what has happened in your case, identify any damage caused by prior counsel, and determine what deadlines are approaching.
  2. Advise you on your options — Depending on the situation, your options may include taking over representation, pursuing a malpractice claim against prior counsel, or both simultaneously.
  3. Act immediately if needed — If there are court dates or deadlines looming, I will not wait. Getting you protected comes first.

Getting Your File Back

Under the Georgia Rules of Professional Conduct, your attorney is required to promptly provide your file upon request, even if there is a fee dispute. If your former attorney is withholding your file, I can help you recover it. You own your file. Do not let an attorney hold it hostage.

The Malpractice Claim

If your former attorney’s conduct damaged your case — missed deadlines, botched filings, unauthorized settlements, or abandonment — you may have a legal malpractice claim in addition to needing new representation. I handle both. You do not have to choose between fixing your current case and holding your former attorney accountable.
